Filmmaker/Actores Aisha Sulthana has approached the High Court of Kerala seeking anticipatory bail in the case of sedition.
The FIR registered in Kavaratti Police Station under Section 124A(sedition) and 153B (acts against national integration) of the Indian Penal Code.
Aisha Sultana made the remarks during a discussion on a TV news channel on June 7 about the Lakshadweep Administrator which has led to public protests on the islands.
She had stated that the Administrator had used ‘bio-weapon against islanders.
She has been charged under section 124A (Sedition) and 153B
She has been asked to appear before the Kavaratti police on June 20.
